Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 October 2026

Dayably stores ALL your personal health and daily living data on your device only. We never see it. We never collect it. We never share it.

1. About This Policy

Dayably ("the App") is an Assistive Technology application designed to support people with disabilities in managing their daily independence. This policy explains how we handle your personal information in accordance with applicable privacy legislation in your region.

2. What Data Stays on Your Device

The following data is stored exclusively in your device's local storage (IndexedDB) and is never transmitted to any server:

  • Your name and onboarding preferences
  • Daily activity logs and tracker entries
  • Mood and wellbeing records
  • Medication schedules, reminders, and side effect logs
  • Goals and progress tracking
  • Evidence vault documents and notes
  • Crisis plans and safety contacts
  • Provider directory entries
  • Routine and schedule data
  • Budget and funding tracking
  • Communication and decision logs
  • Sleep and episode data
  • Accessibility and theme preferences

3. What We Do NOT Collect

  • No personal health information
  • No names, email addresses, or contact details
  • No NDIS numbers or disability identifiers
  • No location or GPS data
  • No usage analytics or behavioural tracking
  • No advertising cookies or tracking pixels
  • No data is sent to third-party services
  • No data is sent to AI services — all processing is on-device

4. Cookies and Local Storage

Dayably uses your browser's local storage (IndexedDB and localStorage) to save your data on your device. This is not cloud storage — it lives on your phone or computer and is not accessible to us or anyone else. We use a single preference cookie to remember your cookie consent choice.

5. No Cloud Sync

Dayably does not currently offer cloud synchronisation. All data remains exclusively on your device. If we introduce optional cloud features in the future, they will be strictly opt-in and you will be clearly informed before any data leaves your device.

6. Data Security

Because your data never leaves your device, the security of your data depends on the security of your device. We recommend:

  • Using a screen lock (PIN, fingerprint, or face ID)
  • Keeping your device's operating system up to date
  • Enabling device encryption (BitLocker, FileVault, or built-in mobile encryption)
  • Not sharing your device with untrusted people
  • Backing up your device regularly (your Dayably data is included in device backups)

7. Your Rights

Since we don't collect your data, there is nothing for us to delete, correct, or export on our end. You have full control over your data on your device:

  • View all your data at any time within the App
  • Delete individual entries or all data from Settings
  • Clear all data by clearing the app's storage in your device settings
  • Uninstall the app to remove all data permanently

8. Adaptive Learning

The App uses on-device pattern recognition to provide personalised insights about your routines and wellbeing. This processing happens entirely on your device — no data is sent to external AI services.

9. Regional Privacy Laws

Dayably is designed to comply with privacy legislation in all regions where it is available:

  • Australia: Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the 13 Australian Privacy Principles
  • New Zealand: NZ Privacy Act 2020
  • United Kingdom: UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018
  • United States: HIPAA and applicable state privacy laws

Because no personal data is collected or processed by us, many provisions of these laws do not apply. We maintain this policy for transparency and to demonstrate our commitment to privacy.

10. Children's Privacy

Dayably may be used by people of any age, including children under the supervision of their parent, guardian, or support coordinator. Since no data is collected by us, no special provisions for children's data are required.

11. Changes to This Policy

If we change our privacy practices, we will update this page. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect when changes were made. If we ever introduce features that involve data leaving your device, we will notify you prominently within the App before any such change takes effect.
